In the Spring of 2021, seven ladies - Trish Cruz, Charlene Maniwang, Aileen Ramirez, Maricela Romero, Alyssa Tran, Jocelyn Tran, and Trinh Vu - longed for a home away from home for themselves and the students of Texas State University. It was a time of drastic and intense changes - a global pandemic, social movements that challenged cultures, and political heat around the world. These events fueled the fire in these ladies to create a space where everyone would feel a sense of belonging.
They took initiative as Kairos, which is the Greek word for “the right moment to seize an opportunity.” For these ladies, it was the perfect time to build a home that uplifts sisterhood and the Asian community. Kairos was very fortunate to have come across Lambda Delta Psi as it was the perfect home Texas State University did not know it needed. Through confidence and resilience, these seven lucky ladies successfully chartered Lambda Delta Psi at Texas State University.

"The official purpose of Lambda Delta Psi Sorority, Inc. is to cultivate a sisterhood of distinguished women through friendship and service while maintaining high morals and academic standards. We seek to always exemplify characteristics such as temperance, grace, and integrity and to educate and guide other young women in becoming eloquent ladies of society."

Policy
Anti-Hazing
Lambda Delta Psi has a zero-tolerance hazing policy. The policy is embodied in numerous documents that are disseminated to members, including the Constitution, By-Laws, and the Risk Management Plan. Any individual or chapter violation of Lambda Delta Psi's Risk Management policy will result in suspension, expulsion, or revocation of the chapter's charter.
